How can I check whether an AI answer is true?
Trace it to a source you can check. A claim that comes with a source, a date and someone accountable for it can be verified; a fluent sentence without a source cannot. Ask the assistant where the information comes from, then read that source yourself.
How
- Ask for sources and open them: does the page really say this, is it current, who stands behind it?
- Prefer primary sources: the business's own site, official registries, signed statements, original documents.
- For business facts on humancollab, check the signature and the public log: who signed, when, and what changed since.
Limits
- A source being real does not make it right; compare more than one when it matters.
- A signature proves who said something, not that it is true.
- How can AIs know whether information about a business is true?
- How can I verify information on humancollab without trusting humancollab?
- What is a trust layer for AI agents?
- Is humancollab legit or a scam?
