How do I appear in Google AI Overviews, AI Mode and Gemini?

Google's AI Overviews and AI Mode draw on pages in Google Search's index, so the basics of being indexed and helpful still apply. There is no separate sign-up: pages that clearly and accurately answer a question are the ones Google can use as sources.

How

1. Make sure Googlebot can crawl your pages and verify your site in Google Search Console.
2. Answer specific questions directly near the top of the page, and back claims with evidence and structured data.
3. Keep your Google Business Profile complete and consistent with your website.

Limits

• Google-Extended in robots.txt controls use of your content for Gemini models; it does not remove you from AI Overviews in Search.
• Google decides when to show an AI Overview and which sources to link.
