How do AI assistants decide which businesses to recommend?

For questions about businesses, most assistants search the web, read the most relevant pages they retrieve, and summarize what those sources agree on. Businesses with clear, consistent, recent and verifiable information, mentioned by independent sources, are easier for an assistant to recommend with confidence.

1. Make sure your own pages state the facts an assistant would need to answer the question.
2. Earn genuine mentions on independent sites (press, directories, reviews, communities) rather than buying them.
3. Give AIs a direct, signed source of truth they can check, such as a humancollab profile bound to your domain.
